moar cute senjougahara in ep2
[qIIq]_Bakemonogatari_-_01_[720p][h264][964BED51].mkv
This show is amazing, but translating and typesetting it was like hell. Finally, we’ve done it! Enjoy!
We will not release softsubs separated from raw this time, since timings are different & TS probably will not display properly.
PS don’t forget to say thanks qq guys too.
Remember:
1) Turn off “Pre-buffer subpictures” option in DirectVobSub.
2) If your processor isnt good enough, switch to second sub
track to avoid major lags.
Translator notes
Kiss-Shot Acerola-Orion Heart-under-Blade
It’s the original name of a vampire that bit Araragi.
Senjougahara Hitagi
Her surname literally means “Battlefield”, and her personality sure matches.
Those newspaper-like things are festival overviews and have really boring text on them.
“Moe” is used to describe people (mostly used for girls) that are attractive from a sexual point of view.
“Tsundere” is used to describe people who switch between rough and caring modes.
(good example is Asuka from Evangelion or Shana from Shakugan no Shana)
情・連・相 line in one of signs stands for 情報・連絡・相談 (Information, Contact and Advice)
And is a course of actions that subordinates should do in Japanese slave-like boss-subordinate relations.
Novel author’s name is Nishio Ishin, but is written in a different romaji system and it becomes a palindrome.
It is written as NisiOisiN to emphasise this.
Senjougahara-sama.
-sama is an honorific that is used to address a person who is a lot higher than you in a social standing.
-chan is used to address mostly girls of the same same or lower social standing than you.
Cowlick (阿呆毛 – Ahoge) represents character hard-headedness.
The name 忍(Shinobu) consists of 刃(Blade) above 心(Heart).
So it’s literaly Heart-under-blade, the vampire’s name.
About the crabs.
(Omoshi kani) – Mind crab
(Omoishi kani) – Heavy crab
(Omoishi gani) – Heavy stone crab
(Omoshi kami) – Mind god
As you can see, they differ in Japanese pronunciation very slightly, so as it said they were derived from each other.

Thank you guys so so much for this release. Since you’re looking at releasing it in 480, could you possibly also throw in a hardsub too? Certain scenes, like the one with all the traffic signs, are too much for my computer to handle… the subs flash on and off, and the video lags. Thanks so much, and again, I love the subs!

Awesome work guys, thanks so much for the great release!
Looking forward to more ^_^

Allot of thanks for the release from here, too ^o^

#7 by Ninja on July 13, 2009 - 1:08 am
Any chance of 1080p?
#8 by Alva [II-subs] on July 13, 2009 - 1:24 am
Nope, cuz it will look like shit.
#9 by sdfsdfsdf on July 13, 2009 - 9:47 am
Ugh, overlays.
Die in a fire. You and any other group who does that.
#10 by Tohi on July 13, 2009 - 1:54 pm
For some writings, overlay is unavoidable. If you want to see the original writings you can always watch the video with the ASS track of dialogues only, can’t you? Good job, II & qq! Go on like this! *thumbs up* 🙂

Please, use “tsundora” instead of “tundra”. Much better.

#13 by Alva [II-subs] on July 14, 2009 - 2:44 am
#14 by Mewidy on July 14, 2009 - 2:49 am
#15 by Alva [II-subs] on July 14, 2009 - 2:54 am
#16 by Mewidy on July 14, 2009 - 3:00 am
#17 by Alva [II-subs] on July 14, 2009 - 3:05 am
#18 by Mewidy on July 14, 2009 - 3:11 am
#19 by Alva [II-subs] on July 14, 2009 - 3:24 am
